  Dearest Reader,

  I hope you’ve enjoyed this little backstory. Writing The Villain strictly from Daphne’s point of view was challenging, leaving me wanting to find some way to offer you a glimpse into Adam’s motivations. I hope that after reading Hart, you have come to know the mysterious, often puzzling, but always intriguing character of The Earl of Hartmoor.
